Royal Enfield Roadster 450cc Neo Retro Styled Spotted Testing

Another variant based on Sherpa engine

Royal Enfield has already showcased the first bike based on the 451cc Sherpa engine by launching the Himalayan. Now as per recent shots of testing bikes we are getting look of what seems to be almost ready production versions of soon to be released Neo retro styled Royal Enfield Roadster 450 based on sherpa engine.

Royal Enfield Roadster 450

More similarities beyond engine

The all new Sherpa engine is a new engine developed by Royal Enfield that produces 39.4hp and 40nm. The character off the engine might remain the same with only difference being the form factor. The Royal Enfield Roadster 450 will also share many of the features from Himalayan such as Tripper Dash, Single piece seat, breaks integrated into indicator lights, exhaust system and can, etc.

Some notable differences

Since the bike will be a roadster style bike we can see that the bike will get smaller 17″ road biased tyres with allow wheels. Since these are allow we should also be looking at tubeless tyres. If the Himalayan success is any indicator the Royal Enfield roadster version should also perform really well. The bike does seem modern and should appeal to bikers who are looking at upgrading to a more powerful bike or looking at their 1st bike with decent power.

Lately there have been string of launches in the 400cc segment and with the launch of the roadster version things are only looking at getting better for the end consumer. What’s your opinion? Are you looking forward for this launch? Do let us know in the comment section below.
